Today was an exciting day! I went to a training by the California Association for Play Therapy on how to do play therapy with kids who have moms with Postpartum Depression. This work taps into my focus both on women’s mental health. I learned how to teach moms and kids co-regulating skills to foster secure attachment. One great take away from today is the statistic that parents only have to get it right 30% of the time with their child in order to foster a secure attachment. Phew, moms and dads give yourselves some credit!
